My son just laughed for the first time, and it’s like he’s cracked it, he understands. Cascades of wonderful giggles follow, and I want to boast, to show him to people and poke him and say ‘laugh, laugh’. It’s the best sound I’ve ever heard.
I knew he’d have a great laugh.

Wow, am I behind the times or what? That’s what a full-time class schedule will do to you, I guess…I haven’t looked at my blog (or yours) for at least two months. I remember the first time Dylan smiled at me. I was smiling at him and his smile took me so shockingly by surprise that my face immediately morphed into surprise, which he just as quickly mimicked, all wide eyes and rounded open mouth. It was so funny it made me cry. He couldn’t have been more than four months old. Wait til Felix starts walking and talking…it’ll be like a whole different person!
Love and Hugs!

Isn’t it the greatest thing? Those first few weeks are so tough in part because they never give us positive feedback like smiles or laughs. But then . . . they have personalities! Those first smiles or laughs are worth a million bucks.
Hi Vicky,
thanks for your offer when you wrote the comment on my blog – I’ll probably take you up on it if I get stuck, and even if not – it’s great to chat to other students about our courses, isn’t it? {g}
I found myself here while following your links, and it made me smile when I read of your son’s first laugh – I can still remember my daughter’s, and that was nearly 25 years ago now! Lol.
Keep in touch, do?
